PASSION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN SALARY

-

MA. LUCILA D. PUNSALAN

Financial capacity is one of the top priorities of a person especially when they have their own family. Dedication and hard work goes hand in hand just to give the best for their loved ones. This is how am I going to relate our reflection on the amount we thought of. Twenty-thousand pesos, an average wage or salary of a teacher, is quite difficult to budget on having children being sent to school. Though, this amount is a big help to sustain the needs of the family.

As I continue reflecting, this certain amount that I thought of helps me a lot in sufficing my own family. It is of great help to me. Having in mind the load of heavy work given to teachers, this certain amount is incomparable to what I can give to my pupils. Teaching isn’t all about what you receive as your monthly salary, but the joy and learning that pupils earn during their school days. The fulfillment of the teacher relies on the knowledge acquired by the pupils as they continue their journey in life.

None the less, teaching is passion. No certain amount of money can give a teachers’fulfillment than seeing their pupils learn, discern and finish up to the college degree. No matter how hard life is, a teacher’s life must go on. Money is just a thing, but sharing your time, talent and treasure is the best way of having a happy and contented life.
