CI TY OF SAN FERNANDO - The Police Regional Office III (PRO-3) recorded a significant decrease in the number of crimes that transpired in the region from September 2017 to December 2017, compared to the same period in 2016.

According to PRO-3 Director Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus, the extensive efforts of Central Luzon police to implement its anti-criminality measures and maintain peace and order came through after police recorded positive output on their act i vi t i es.

Based on the latest data from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, a total of 13,707 crime incidents were recorded from September to December of 2017 which is 4,322 cases or 23.97 percent lower compared to the 18,029 recorded in the same period of 2016.

The Crime Solution Efficiency, meanwhile, has increased by 4.93 percent while the Crime Clearance Efficiency has also increased by 4.78 percent .

While the positive development was recorded after Corpus assumed his post as the region’s lead cop, he attributed the credit to the hard work and cooperation of whole Central Luzon police force which led to the effective implementation of anti-crime measures.

“This significant decrease in crimes can be attributed to the leveling up of our anti-criminality measures particularly on our campaign against motorcycle riding suspects and wanted persons,” he said.

Corpus, meanwhile, still vowed to continue the police’s extensive efforts against crimes and lawlessness while securing the safety of the public.

“We are doubling our efforts to work roundtheclock in order to guarantee the public of a safe and sound sleep keeping our eyes always open against lawless elements and their activities. We will keep on tracking down violators of the law especially these motorcycle-riding suspects,” he noted.

Corpus also asked the cooperation and active participation of the public through immediate reporting of crimes and information of any illegal activities or suspicious elements in their surroundings.

“I always say that crime prevention is a 24hour task and is a serious business to be handled by us in the PNP. still, I solicit the support of the public to help us by actively participating in our anti-criminality campaigns thru immediate reporting of crimes and information of any illegal activities that they know,” Corpus said.
