HAU hosts 26th Grand Alumni Homecoming
Some 850 Holy Angel University (HAU) alumni from the country and abroad recently gathered together for the 26th Annual Grand Alumni Homecoming held at the Immaculate Heart Gymnasium.
The homecoming was hosted by the HS Batch ’92 (Survivors) in homage to HS Batch ’67 (Diamonds) who were the main honorees this year as they celebrated their golden anniversary.
Dr. Luis Maria R. Calingo, University President, graced the event and gave an account of the significant accomplishments achieved by the University in the past years under his leadership.
He also informed the alumni about the upcoming US Grand Alumni Homecoming and the unveiling of Friends of Holy Angel, Inc. on October 6 and 7 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Association also recognized three alumni for their outstanding achievements: Benito M. Chua, HS Batch ’67 (for Community Service), Engr. Clarita Reambillo-Lao, HS Batch ’72 (for Engineering) and Ferdinand D. Lapuz, HS Batch ’82 (for Arts & Culture).
The occasion featured dance presentations from the different batches. For the first time, Grade School Batch ’87 (The Origins) participated in the event while HS Batch ’54 (The Vanguards) distinguished themselves as the oldest class in attendance.
The evening concluded with the turnover of the symbolic key of responsibility from The Survivors (HS Batch ’92) to The Challengers (HS Batch ’93) who will be hosting the next Grand Alumni Homecoming.
