MABALACAT CITY — Officials here said that the P2.4 million incentive from the good local governance awards of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) will be used for the city disaster preparedness program.

DILG Pampanga director Myrvi Fabia turned over the P2.4million check to Mayor Crisostomo Garbo during the local government’s planning and preparation for the 2018 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) yesterday.

Garbo vowed to implement various programs to maintain the status of the city in terms of best practices and good governance.

The mayor also made an assurance that the city will prepare for the indicators set by the DILG including financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection, peace and order, business-friendliness, environmental management and touri sm .

Garbo shared the award to his fellow city officials and employees for working hard to deliver quality service to the people of Mabalacat.

Favia for her part lauded the city for being “one of the four LGUs in the province consistent, hall of famer SGLG passer.”

“But we should not stop there, we should work more kasi nakita niyo initial pa lang itong binigay ng BLGS.
