Angeles City observes Civil Registration Month

ANGELES CITY - in line with the celebration of the Civil Registration Month this February with the theme #napapanahongCRVS, the Angeles City Civil Registry Office (ACCRO) has lined up several activities to highlight the annual celebration.

This year’s theme, “# napapanahongCRVS”, stresses the importance of up-to-date and accurate civil registration and vital statistics in the formulation and implementation of government programs that are aimed at improving the lives of the Filipino people.

As part of the month-long celebration, the ACCRO in partnership with the Parole and Probation Office, will be conducting a one-day seminar on civil registration among parolees in Angeles City this February 21.

Also, the ACCRO will be accommodating a free-of-charge application for any civil documents request on February 23.

For his part, Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan urged Angeleños to avail of the existing services of the City Civil Registry.

To conclude the month-long Civil Registration Month, a mass wedding will be held on February 28 at Robinsons’Place Angeles which will be officiated by Pamintuan.

The activities are to be held in congruence with Presidential Proclamation No. 682 signed by then President Corazon Aquino on January 28, 1991 which declares the month of February of every year as Civil Registration Month.— AC-CIO
