NLEx opens Sta. Ines exit ramp, Mabiga toll plazas
CLARK FREEPORT — The North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) Corporation has set the opening of two new vital projects which is expected improve traffic condition and the accessibility of tourist destinations in the Metro Clark area.
The newly-constructed infrastructures include the Santa Ines-Magalang Exit Ramp which was opened to motorists last February 9.
Another one is the new Mabiga Toll Plazas, which are scheduled to be opened on February 15.
The Santa Ines-Magalang Exit Ramp will provide motorists coming from NLEX a direct access to local roads in Magalang town and nearby town.
The Mabiga Toll Plazas, which made the Mabalacat Spur Road a full diamond interchange with new entry and exit toll plazas, will provide more direct and safer access between the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) and the MacArthur Highway.
Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo lauded the NLEx Corporation officials, led by their president Rodrigo Franco, for implementing the projects.
Garbo said that the newly-completed structures will greatly help in solving the traffic congestion in the city, which is the home of Clark International Airport.
Franco said their firm spent about P27-million for the Santa Inex Magalang Exit Ramp and P130million for the Mabiga Toll Plazas.
