Alumnus organizes free medical, dental mission for public school
SAN SIMON - As a way of giving back to his alma mater, Sto. Niño Elementary School alumnus Perlito “Dong” Dagdag, Jr. on Tuesday organized a free medical and dental mission for the benefit of students and residents of Barangay Sto. Niño.
Dagdag, who finished his primary level in the said school in 1996, said that the institution always had a special place in his heart as it played a huge role in making his childhood days fun and memorable.
As the current executive assistant of Mayor Leonora C. Wong, Dagdag said he sought the help of the municipal and provincial government for the medical and dental services offered during the activity.
He disclosed that at least 300 students and 300 senior citizens from the barangay received free medical services, including health check-up, tooth extraction and distribution of various medicines and flouride.
Whole day po ito, hangga’t may gustong magpacheck-up at magpabunot, welcome po sila,” he said.
Jenny Sotelo, one of the beneficiaries of the medical mission, expressed his gratitude to Dagdag and medical practitioners who extended their time and resources for the needy residents of the barangay.
