Lovi Poe denies living in with non-showbiz boyfriend: ‘Hindi pa ako ready ngayon’

-

Busy with promoting her latest movie The Significant Other, Lovi Poe said she still tries to find time for her Filipino-French boyfriend Chris Johnson. “Of course I have my moments but I think it’s very important for you to count your blessings more than anything kasi let’s not dwell on the negative things. Isipin natin at dapat maging masaya tayo sa kung ano meron tayo. The more na bilangin mo yung blessings mo, mas maraming darating kasi nga a grateful heart always wins. Of course, malaking bagay lahat ng tao sa buhay. Kahit sino man yan, anyone can make my day even someone I don’t know. Even a simple fan who says hello and is happy about my work. Talagang nakakapagpasaya sila ng tao,” she shared.

Dating a man from outside the industry is not a big deal according to the 29-year-old actress. “I think it’s not about whether nonshowbiz or showbiz ang boyfriend mo, it’s about the person. Importante kasi sa trabaho ko ay magkaroon ng isang someone na makakaintindi sa trabaho ko. So okay naman siya,” she said.

Lovi denied that she and Chris are now living together because it is just not possible at this time. “We barely even see each other so how is that going to happen? Long distance na ang QC to Makati. You know if it happens, it happens. But in the future pa siguro if I choose to do it. But then now kasi my life is here near work and his life is there near work,” she added.

Marriage is also not happening any time soon because Lovi has other goals to achieve. “It’s something na wala pa sa listahan naming dalawa. I’m human and it gives me chills to even think about it but then again if it happens, it happens. Then good. I don’t think it’s about being in the marrying age, it’s about marrying the right person. I’ll just relax and not think about it. At this moment, to marry someone kailangan buo ka eh. Kailangan ikaw mismo. It’s not about the other person, it goes both ways. It’s still a journey that I have to go through. There’s so many things that I want to do in my life and I can personally say that I’m not ready,” she explained.

As one of the industry’s more liberated actresses, Lovi said she is also not the type to want to have a baby before marriage. “Isa rin yan sa mga bagay na hindi pa ako ready ngayon. It’s not in my head. I may be liberated but it’s something that is not on my list because ang pagkakaroon naman ng baby is something na hindi dahil mo lang eh, you have to make sure that your baby wants you back too when she or he is there,” she admitted.
