Triple celebration marks PNP founding anniversary
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - In line with the Philippine National Police (PNP)’s 27th founding anniversary, the Police Regional Office III (PRO-3) on Monday conducted three different celebrations held at the Camp Olivas Parade Grounds.
PRO-3 Director Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus and Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda led the celebration which was kicked off by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Camp Olivas Heroes Monument.
An awarding ceremony was also held in recognition of the 40 police personnel who vastly contributed to the upliftment of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
This include PRO-3 Deputy Regional Director for Administration Chief Superintendent Elmer Bantog, PRO-3 Regional Director for Operations Senior Superintendent Ronald Llanera, PRO-3 Regional Directorial Staff Senior Superintendent Romil Mitra, and Chief of the Regional Headquarters and Support Group Senior Superintendent Rolly Mendoza.
Governor Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda also represented the provincial government in the turnover of its donation of service vehicles to the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Central Luzon, PNP Aviation and Security Group, Pampanga SWAT and Provincial Mobile Force.
Five widows of slain policemen who died in the line of duty likewise received a P20,000 check from Governor Pineda and cash from Corpus to serve as financial assistance to the bereaved families. During her speech, Governor Pineda expressed her utmost gratitude to Corpus and the entire Central Luzon police for making the region, particularly Pampanga, one of the most peaceful and orderly provinces in the country.
“Maraming salamat sa kapulisan ng Central Luzon na pinangungunahan ni Chief Supt. Amador Corpus dahil pagpapanatiing maayos ang peace and order ng ating rehiyon (thank you so much to the Central Luzon police for maintaining peace and order in the region),” said Governor Pineda while assuring that the provincial government of Pampanga will always be open and willing to extend additional assistance to the police in the region.
Corpus, for his part, extended his deepest gratitude to Governor Pineda and the whole Pampanga provincial government for always extending assistance, resources and support to the police.
The PNP since its establishment in 1991 has come a long way as a prime member of the Department of Interior and Local Government and has been leading in maintaining peace and order in the country. It has also been a partner in good governance as it ventures in transforming the organization into professionalized law enforcers.
