Triple celebratio­n marks PNP founding anniversar­y

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - In line with the Philippine National Police (PNP)’s 27th founding anniversar­y, the Police Regional Office III (PRO-3) on Monday conducted three different celebratio­ns held at the Camp Olivas Parade Grounds.

PRO-3 Director Chief Superinten­dent Amador Corpus and Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda led the celebratio­n which was kicked off by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Camp Olivas Heroes Monument.

An awarding ceremony was also held in recognitio­n of the 40 police personnel who vastly contribute­d to the upliftment of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

This include PRO-3 Deputy Regional Director for Administra­tion Chief Superinten­dent Elmer Bantog, PRO-3 Regional Director for Operations Senior Superinten­dent Ronald Llanera, PRO-3 Regional Directoria­l Staff Senior Superinten­dent Romil Mitra, and Chief of the Regional Headquarte­rs and Support Group Senior Superinten­dent Rolly Mendoza.

Governor Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda also represente­d the provincial government in the turnover of its donation of service vehicles to the PNP-Criminal Investigat­ion and Detection Group-Central Luzon, PNP Aviation and Security Group, Pampanga SWAT and Provincial Mobile Force.

Five widows of slain policemen who died in the line of duty likewise received a P20,000 check from Governor Pineda and cash from Corpus to serve as financial assistance to the bereaved families. During her speech, Governor Pineda expressed her utmost gratitude to Corpus and the entire Central Luzon police for making the region, particular­ly Pampanga, one of the most peaceful and orderly provinces in the country.

“Maraming salamat sa kapulisan ng Central Luzon na pinangungu­nahan ni Chief Supt. Amador Corpus dahil pagpapanat­iing maayos ang peace and order ng ating rehiyon (thank you so much to the Central Luzon police for maintainin­g peace and order in the region),” said Governor Pineda while assuring that the provincial government of Pampanga will always be open and willing to extend additional assistance to the police in the region.

Corpus, for his part, extended his deepest gratitude to Governor Pineda and the whole Pampanga provincial government for always extending assistance, resources and support to the police.

The PNP since its establishm­ent in 1991 has come a long way as a prime member of the Department of Interior and Local Government and has been leading in maintainin­g peace and order in the country. It has also been a partner in good governance as it ventures in transformi­ng the organizati­on into profession­alized law enforcers.
