CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga - At least 911 new police officers, all with the ranks of Police Officer 1 (PO1) completed the six-month Field Training Program following their four-month Public Safety Basic Recruit Course.

The Closing Ceremony of the PSFTP Class 201701 “Lakan Tikas” was held at the Camp Olivas Post Grandstand yesterday.

Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus, Central Luzon police director, acted as the guest of honor and speaker during the event.

During the six-month training, the new policemen immersed in the different police stations to gain first-hand experience in the fields of Investigation, Intelligence, Operation, Traffic and Patrol.

“And now, as you continue on your next journey, the rest is up to you. Your career and what you will become after you graduate and begin to perform your duties of serving and protecting the people relies greatly on how you carry yourself as a law enforcer and as a human being, Corpus said.

"In your entire police career, there is only one rule and procedure, one lesson and it is very simple. Know what is right and what is wrong! If you do insist on what is wrong, think first of what will happen to you and your family and loved ones when you get caught. Never falter or gamble, Ang pagsisisi ay parating nasa huli. Do what is right and work from the heart and you will never fail,” he added.

Chief Superintendent Dionard Carlos, director of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP), graced the activity.

He said that 206 of the new police officers will join the PNP-AVSEGROUP.

The newly graduates are set to undergo Police Orientation Course (POC) to further prepare them as police officers.
