DEPED AND DOH AGREEMENT ON DITRIBUTION OF CONDOM
The plan of the government to distribute condoms to the youth, particularly to the secondary school students, so as to evade premarital pregnancy and to thwart the dreary HIV-AIDS through the combine efforts of the abovementioned government agency is seemed to be good at first glimpse toward their objective, but it might be unwittingly leading to pre-marital sexual intercourse, due to the preconceived safety effect against reproduction, meaning, there will be no possible mingling of sperm and egg cells toward fertilization of the zygote.
Another harm that this program may do to the youth of the school age is the occurrence of curiosity among them that may invite them to try its veracity and because of its non-risky feature, it may even pave the way for them to dare it all over again.
Thus, the government should take a second look and reconsider its Reproductive Health Program to a further study, so as not to rue in the future, when massive prostitution won, the youth sector will be at hand.
The government may rather include to the Basic Curriculum the implementation of Christian Philosophy and Ethics with the inclusion of program similar to the promotion of Good Manners and Right Conduct {GMRC) of yesteryears Education Curriculum.
