“Since sila iyong nasa grassroots level, mas malaki iyong capability nila na maabot at maeducate ang mga tao.
ASANTOL - As part of its sustainable pro grams on peace and order, the local government here and Philippine National Police on Thursday held its first Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) Summit at the Municipal Training Center.
Kaya ang PDEA ay tinetake parati ang mga ganitong opportunity for information dissemination (they are the ones in the grassroots level and they have the capability to educate people. That is why PDEA takes this opportunity for information dissemination),” he said.
This town’s Chief Inspector Julius Javier, for his part, said that the activity aims to sustain and intensify the anti-drug measures of this town, as well as its program to further maintain the peace and order.
He noted that the local government and police here are more challenged to maintain its status as drugcleared municipality by stepping up its activities and measures to fully stamp out illegal drugs here.
Javier also added that such activities also serves as motivation to the BADAC members as it shows the commitment of the local government and police on the campaign against illegal drugs.
“Kapag nakikita nila na desidido at pursigido ang mga municipal officials, siyempre itong sa barangay ay sasama. Kapag kumikilos lahat, siyempre nakikita natin iyong magandang resulta (If they see that municipal officials are determined, everybody exerts efforts to get positive results),” he noted.
