GRBank appoints new independent director
GThe formal announcement was made during the bank’s annual Stockholders’ Meeting held recently at the Fortune Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant in the City of San Fernando.
Ricafort traces his roots in Sta. Rita, Pampanga and presently resides in Manila. He holds a baccalaureate on Finance at the San Beda College; an MBA Degree in Economics from the St. John’s University in New York, USA; and an Honorary Degree of Philosophy in Business Administration in IOND University in Japan, among others.
He has extensive experience and involvement in various disciplines and exposures as an educator. He was the former chairman of the Department of Economics at San Bed and of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine Islands, Inc. created in 1903.
He is also a banker, entrepreneur, and an advocate for NGO/GO sector and individual and corporate social responsibility commitment.
Moreover, Ricafort also has an all-embracing linkage and networking through various public and private sector connections. He was awarded numerous and posthumous awards and accolades both from the private and public sectors for his services. These includes being awarded as the Outstanding Kapampangan in Business and Community Service, Province of Pampanga in 1990; the Outstanding Export Performance, Golden Shell Award, DTI in 1988; and the Most Outstanding Chapter President of the World Jaycees International in 1978, to name some.
The newly-appointed director is also the co-organizer of the Kapampangan Development Foundation (KDF) founded 1987 and at present is the foundation’s president.

RBank, touted as one of the the top rural bank in Central Luzon, has appointed its new Independent Director Benigno “Benny” N. Ricafort.
