Balanga City tops ‘Manila BAYani’ awards
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) recently recognized Balanga City in Bataan province as the best local government unit in Central Luzon with best practices in the rehabilitation of Manila Bay.
Balanga emerged top in the “Manila BAYani” awards’city category, with San Jose in second and San Jose del Monte in third.
Other local government units cited by the DILG were Plaridel, Doña Remedios Trinidad and San Rafael towns, all from Bulacan province.
The Manila Bay Rehabilitation Project is an execution of a Supreme Court decision
of the state-owned firm from being a desolated former US military base into one of the prime investment destinations in Asia today.
On April 6, CDC will hold a tree-planting event inside the Freeport, fun walk on April 13, and film showing on April 16 to 17.
On April 20, CDC will hold its anniversary celebration which will coincide with the service recognition of employees who have reached five years, 10 years, 15 years and 25 year s.
On April 27, the state-owned firm will have its annual jobs fair where close to 100 companies here are expected to participate.
The Freeport is currently host to 949 locators and more than 108,000 employees.
