CHRC appoints new set of board of trustees
The
Clark Human Resources Council (CHRC) has appointed its new set of Board of Trustees, who were nominated and elected during the recently concluded CHRC General Membership Meeting held at the Widus Hotel and Casino.
Among the new Board of Trustees are Alpha Aviation Group; Clark Electric Corporation; L&T International Group Philippines Inc.; OMNI Aviation Corporation; Singapore Airlines Engineering Philippines; United Parcel Services Clark; and Yokohama Tire Philippines Inc.
These companies will succeed the incumbent Board of Trustees including Clark Water Corporation, Converge ICT Solutions, KMAS Management, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation Clark, The Medical City– Clark, Widus International Leisure Inc., and Clark Development Corporation (CDC).
During the event, CHRC President (for 2016 to 2018) Vonn Angelie David presented last year’s updates and accomplishments of the council to its members.
He also presided the landmark update of the council’s by-laws by getting the entire membership to approve a motion appointing Clark Development Corporation (CDC) as a permanent Board of Director seat moving forward.
Moreover, the highlights of the membership meeting were the different talks and updates given by notable leaders from the Clark Freeport Zone.
CDC Vice President for Business Development and Business Enhancement Group Evangeline Tejada shared the accomplishments for 2017, which included increase in Clark manpower count, locator companies and export trade.
She also provided the audience updates of upcoming major projects and infrastructure improvements of the Clark Freeport Zone. Alexander Cauguiran, President and CEO of Clark International Airport, also presented developments regarding the Clark International Airport (CIA) as well as the future master plan and phases of the CIA passenger terminal building project. He has stressed the impact of these developments to the HR executives. An open forum took place after.
The afternoon was a learning session about the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, which was facilitated by a tax expert from SGV and Co. (Ernst and Young), Francis J. Ricamora.
After the day’s learning events, two roundtrip tickets for Clark-Kalibo-Clark from AirAsia; a tire set from Yokohama Philippines; and an overnight deluxe stay from Hotel Stotsenberg were given away to the audience. The event was also sponsored by Generika Drugstore and Probus Consultancy.

The Clark Human Resources Council is an organization of HR professionals and executives from the Clark Freeport Zone andthe greater Clark area, including Angeles City and Mabalacat City. It aims to build networks of HR practitioners in the zone for knowledge and skills transfer and benchmarking that will improve HR services for employees and employers alike.
