Stop when you’re done

- LORENZO E. MENDOZA

LAST week, all public schools throughout the country conducted their graduation/ moving up ceremonies that formally ended SY 20172018.

To give more meaning to the occasion and to serve as my push for our learners to continue soaring high to greater heights in their lives as learners, I made and sent this message to all the learners in the Division I am currently assigned. Let me share this to all of you my avid r eader s.

Here is the message:

Education is the greatest equalizer. It is the weapon that will lift anyone from the quagmire of poverty and transform a once bleak to bright future.

After being honed with the 21st century skills coupled with the knowledge gained, and instilled with the right attitude imbued with moral values, this year’s completers and graduates are now ready to face the world in all disciplines.

With the theme, “K to 12 Learners: Ready to Face Life’s Challenges”, this year’s finishers exemplify the very core of the stakeholders’concerted efforts to cushion the impact of life’s challenges in this age of modernization. They are the byproducts of the carefully nurtured and continually improved K to 12 curriculum designed to address the needs of the times.

It was proven in several occasions this school year that working as a team can result to the desired outcome in all endeavors. There are a lot of positive changes that resulted to the improved delivery of learning to all learners after rigorously training our teachers and school heads by invited subject matter experts and our own personnel in the bureaucracy for them to acquire the needed competencies to perform their respective roles in nation building through developing each learner.

In my most heartfelt way, I would like to extend my gratitude to all who in one way or the other have been instrumental in shaping the hearts and minds of our learners towards the goal of attaining the standards in every step of the ladder from Kindergarten, Elementary, Junior High School and Senior High School both in public and private schools throughout the country.

Again, our beloved learners, Batch 2017-2018, make the Department of Education in whatever region, division, district or school you belong to be proud of your achievements now and in the near future, the real test of your sacrifices for the attainment of your bright future.

God bless and cheers for more success!

Lastly I would like to reiterate this popular quote, “Don’t stop when you’re tired; stop when you’re done”.
