Sto. Niño native wants to give back to San Simon home village
SAN SIMON - After serving his hometown for more than five years through his employment in the local government, the former executive assistant of Mayor Leonora Wong is now looking forward to providing development in his home village, Barangay Sto. Niño as he seeks the chairmanship post.
Perlito “Dong” Dagdag, who was born and raised in Barangay Sto. Niño here, said that the development of the said village has long been pending due to unimplemented programs and projects designated for their place.
“I am dreaming for a better and progressive Barangay Sto. Niño, especially that the biggest local government center will be constructed in our area. I do not want to make promises because I value the results more than the plans and promises,” he said.
Should he secure the village chief executive position, Dagdag said he wanted to complement the development experienced by Simonians today through inclusive programs involving all sectors of the community.
As a resident of Barangay Sto. Niño since birth, Dagdag said he knows and understands the needs of his fellow villagers and such will help create a better development plan for the benefit of the people.
Meanwhile, Dagdag expressed gratitude to his supporters who joined him during his filing of candidacy through a motorcade that kicked-off from the San Jose-Sto. Niño boundary to the municipal hall where the local Commission on Elections is si t uat ed.
Dagdag was also joined by six aspiring village councilmen running under the “Team Progreso ng Barangay” ticket namely Ernesto Punzalan, Alex Tayag, Erlinda Gutierrez, Nevi Delfin, Renato Dagdag and Gerry Gutierrez.
