18 year-old boy nabbed for carnapping
MASANTOL - An 18 year-old boy was arrested by elements of Masantol Municipal Police Station for his involvement in motornapping incident through a follow-up operation conducted on Sunday morning.
According to this town’s top cop Chief Inspector Julius Javier, victim Merwin Manansala, 31, initially sought the assistance of the local police when he noticed that his motorcycle parked in front of their house was missing.
Upon receipt of the report, policemen here immediately presented to Manansala the rogue gallery of persons previously involved in the same case, and the victim positively identified a person he allegedly saw at their place before the incident, narrated Javier.
Elements of the said station then immediately conducted a manhunt operation in Barangay Sta. Lucia where the suspect identified as “David” is reportedly residing.
The said operation resulted to the arrest of the suspect with his actual possession of a motorcycle with plate number 2502 UX owned by Manansala in Sitio Smith, in the said barangay. The suspect together with the recovered evidence was brought to the said station for further investigation while preparing documents to be filed against him. A case of Violation of RA 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 will be filed against him.
