AN INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE

Investing is making an investment in order to earn a profit and earning that profit will be much easier to do if you get an early start. In other words when you invest you wait for a reward. Investing to youngsters is very vital to government’s success.

As Rizal our national hero said, “The youths are the hope of the Motherland”. If an early years the government invest to youth we can probably solve some immortal problems that the government is facing right now. In addressing this youths should be empowered.

Youth empowerment is today’s armour and shield. It is a vehicle to peace, democracy-building, equality and most importantly, towards productivity and national progress. Being empowered starts with oneself. Being aware of accepting one’s responsibilities to oneself, one’s family and society are basics of youth empowerment. The youth must also know one’s capabilities as well as one’s weakness so as to improve one’s self to become responsible and productive members of society.

Being empowered is making the right choices in life. The right choice of a course to take, a career, a partner in life and a life to live are the most important decisions one has to make. These can only be done by knowing oneself by being a critical thinker, and by using the wisdom of the elders.

Educating the youths is a very good investment that the government can do to address some recurring issues before it become more and worse. Education is a treasure that cannot be taken away from anyone else that is also a very valuable possession. Mostly believes it is answer to many of societies ill. It is also the great equalizer.

If children are taught to be responsible at early years this will become automatic part of their system as they age. It will be engraved in their mind and heart that time cannot rub out. They will become good planner and decision maker. The choices and decisions they make are definitely for the welfare and benefits of every member of the family including their own. They will make wise decisions.

These youngsters will build their own families later on. They will create families that help the government to take steps to progress. It is noticeable that most of the people appear to be in-conflict with the law or problem of the government are those who are deprived of their rights and not given the same opportunity like those who turn up to be responsible. If they are trained on how to be educated they can make a remarkable difference.

Minor issues become major problems because of negligence. This will not worsen the problem if at early stage we already find ways to solve it. Prevention is better than cure. Address the problem immediately. A recurring problem is a neglected solution.
