SLAVERY TO WORRY

Stress will always be a part of human life. Whether individually or corporately at work, or at play, we are pressured to make decisions, take actions, or change behaviors. Worry is a common stressor in life: hurrying, worrying, and burying.
Hurrying is competing in the game of a materialistic world. It involves going with the latest fashion and fad as dictated by society. Hurrying dispenses with the traditional ways of doing things.
Worrying often leads to wasting present opportunities with tomorrow’s possibilities and yesterday’s troubles. It is a burden we can’t share with ot her s.
Burying is the end of human struggle in the drama we call survival of the fittest. It is either an outcome or a release from worrying and hurrying. The following are some of the insights from a dozen pieces of advice: Never worry over rumors or what they. First get the facts. Know definitely your worry problem. Write it down. Face it. Worry about only one problem at a time. Set a definite day, afternoon, or night for worrying.
Never worry in bed, in the dining room, living room. Select an air conditioned room. Lean back in an easy chair. Set a time limit, if you mast go beyond it, give yourself credit for time-and-a-half.
Never worry with a frowning face, smile, sing or whistle.
Never worry when you are tired, sick, angry or depressed.
Never worry while working, playing, visiting, shopping, or gossiping. There are two times never to worry- when you can help the situation and when you cannot
Never worry alone. Take it to the Lord and leave it there. (Proverbs 3:5,6) Let us learn from the conversation of the two birds— the robin and the sparrow. To be free from the shackles of worry, let’s trust our Creator, rely on His promises, and patiently wait on leadings for He cares for us.
