“Teaching Is Never An Easy Thing”

- Annabelle T. Alfaro

It was never in my imagination that I would become a teacher one day. Maybe because it never runs in the blood.I was the first one who became teacher in the family.

Sometimes what you do not expect to happen if it’s destined then it would become possible. I could say that teaching is a passion for those who would commit themselves totally in teaching. That is why it’s never an easy thing to teach. It’s because you really have to go out of your comfort zone in order to reach out to your students.

Teaching is beyond the ordinary routines that you do everyday as you meet your students in the classroom. Teaching is not merely presenting the subject-matter in the class but it’s how you will make your students apply it in their everyday life situations.

Thinking that your students are coming from different families with different family backgrounds. No matter how long you have been in the service, yearly the feeling is always new. New students and new expectations and most all new experiences to gain from them. Others they decided to quit in teaching because they did not have the passion for teaching.

Again, teaching is never an easy thing to do. A lot of self-sacrifices needed in order to survive the life of a teacher.

But when you discover the secret of happiness in teaching, without you knowing it teaching becomes something worth doing for. There is suddenly the feeling of fulfillment when you see positive results among your students.

You will never get bored or tired in teaching when you really embraced it in your life as teacher.

There are always challenges around you. And what’s good about it, at the end of the day you would find yourself a more dedicated and committed teacher.

Again and again I say, teaching is never and will never be an easy thing to do…to those who have no passion in doing it.
