Drug den dismantled in City of San Fernando
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III (PDEA-3) dismantled over the weekend a suspected drug den located at Barangay Quebiawan in this capital city.
PDEA-3 Regional Director Gil Pabilona said the operating team implemented a search warrant said drug den operated by one Cyrus Tarnate after receiving reports from the neighborhood about the alleged illegal activities transpiring in the ar ea.
During the operation, five suspected drug personalities were arrested including Tarnate alias “Totoy”, 37, and four others namely Joel Dizon, 36, Freddie Boy Bobos alias “Tibo”, 38, Jonrey Latib, 20, Richard Benedicto, 20.
“Tarnate or alias Totoy had been operating his drug den since April this year and there are various report from concerned people in Quebiawan against him and his cohorts that is why we monitor his illegal activities until his arrest today” Pabilona said.
Confiscated from the suspects were seven pieces of heatsealed transparent sachets containing estimated 15 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of Php 102,000 and various drug paraphernalia.
The suspects are now temporarily detained at PDEA3 Jail Facility for further investigation.
Violation of section 6 (maintenance of den, dive, resort), section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) section 12 (possession of drug paraphernalia) will be charged against Tarnate; while violation of section 7 (employee/visitor of drug den) section 11, 12 and 15 of RA 9165 will be charged against Tarnate’s cohorts.
