Catriona Gray leads CSF’s Flores de Mayo
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - The reigning Ms. Universe-Philippines Catriona Gray was in this capital city over the weekend to grace the annual religious activity Flores De Mayo held in line with the month-long 2018 Pyestang Fer nandi no.
Gray, who is set to compete for the prestigious international beauty pageant Ms. Universe, led the afternoon activity featuring the Lakan at Mutya ning San Fernando 2018 candidates, Little Miss Fernandina 2018 candidates, Fernandino senior citizens, and selected Fernandina beauty queens held at the SM Cinema 3, SM City San Fernando Dow nt ow n.
Wearing a red Filipiniana gown, Gray paraded around the Metropolitan Cathedral and downtown area along with the other participants and city government officials for the ritual pageant.
During the press conference held at the Pizza Hut, Gray disclosed that it is her first time to visit and explore the City of San Fernando and was excited to explore its rich culture and heritage and the beauty of its people.
“It is my first time here in San Fernando, and I can say that the people are so warm and hospitable. And hopefully later today, I could get the chance to explore and go around this beautiful city,” she said.
She also expressed delight over Kapampangan delicacies, particularly the famous cheese bread of L.A. Bakeshop and sisig.
Asked about her preparations on the upcoming Ms. Universe 2018 competition, Gray said she and her team immerse in several brainstorming activities, as well as engage in public speaking commitments that would expose her more with people.
Also present during the activity are city officials led by Mayor Edwin Santiago, 2018 Pyestang Fernandino Executive Committee Chairperson Robbie Hizon, Lakan at Mutya Ning San Fernando Chairman Alex Magsino, and SM Ci t y San Fernando Downtown executives headed mall Manager Lana Er r oba.
