THE LENGTH of time expended by the seniors on the affairs of Mabalacat City and the rest of the country plus, for some the quality of service rendered by them should be considered in mulling on legislative measures to be taken for the senior sector.

In Mabalacat City, the seniors are well considered and taken care of under the watchful eye of Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbo, supported by the Office of Senior Affairs and in part by the City Social Welfare and Development .

I gathered that the monthly social pensions of the seniors, numbering over 11,000 are given on time plus other perks by Mayor Garbo.

In Makati City, I read that the seniors are well taken care of, benefits all and legislations were taken to provide more for them.

It could be replicated here in Mabalacat City with the compassionate attitude of Mayor Garbo and the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod headed by Vice Mayor Christian Halili. And why not? The seniors are still looked up to as leaders in their respective communities. So it is about right that their welfare be given priority amongst other priorities of the city.

With the theme: Enabling Metro Clark to be the Gobal ICT destination the program involved several ICThonchos led by Frank Villanueva, chairman, MCICTC, Architect Tarissius Tiotuyco, Corpotate Planning Manager, Clark Development Corporation and other resource speakers, all experts in the IT field.

Truly, the city government is entering deeply the IT realm with enthusiasm and drive to become an importnt player in the global IT competition.
