Every single minute, the use of social media is inevitably increasing. Large portion of the youth today becomes greater or more in size to aggravate the necessity of the Internet. They become so obsessed with it. Thinking that without the social media, their heart will not going to function. I agree that the use of technology has advantages, but have you ever thought that it has also drawbacks when you don’t use it properly? Then it will become poison because the real purpose and function is not being done and served.

Millions of Filipinos are fond of using Facebook. According to statistics, we ranked number five in the whole world using this site. This is how Filipinos embrace social media.

Our leaners’ today are using Internet for their assignments, projects and other researches. If that would be the case, it may be useful to the students. But if it has been used for other things such as Cyber Bullying, visiting pornographic sites, extreme gaming will not be beneficial for the students.

As day passed by, different social networking sites have been created. You can post your pictures and update status. You can also make conversations by chatting and even talking to your friends and relatives through Facebook. If you want to express your emotion feelings even your Hugot, twitter is there. Instagram is also use to post your pictures.

As we can see that proper use of these social networking sites are helpful, conferring benefits, profitable, advantageous contributing to a valuable end. It adds spices to stirring up the life bounded by traditions and cultures. It brings air to the dying imagination and ideas of the youth today.

It becomes poison when we don’t use it suitably in a proper manner. It becomes poison when it could hurt somebody’s feelings and been crushed their right as person.

Every user should be careful and responsible when it comes to using social networking sites. When they post or say something because for one mistakes, thousands of individuals can see it. I salute the television network that promotes the “Think Before You Click”, it aims to teach everyone the proper use of social media.

It is therefore important that each of us must learn the appropriate use of Internet. Always think of do’s and don’ts of it. Think before you CLICK…
