Greatness

IT’S going to be the 4th time in four years for both teams. Will it be boring? Yeah, for sure!

Don’t even look at the match ups because it will be a one-sided finals. We just have to appreciate greatness in these playoffs.

No matter what the haters say, I believe LBJ accomplished a herculean task and hats off to this legend. The next four games will probably be his last for the season because I strongly think the Warriors will once again reign supreme via a convincing sweep. But that is already a given.

One hundred games this season at 33 years old in his 15th season? WOW! That alone stands out to be a championship ring. One man willing the Cavs to his 8th straight finals? That to me is another championship ring.

What about the Warriors? Steph, KD and Klay! I don’t think there has ever been a more potent shooting combo in the NBA than these three. Their skills, poise, accuracy and composure is out of this world. They deserve to be world champions again.

I was rooting for the Celtics in the East but it turns out Lebron and Jeff Green had other plans. Had it been Boston vs. GSW, or Boston vs. Houston, this year’s Finals would have been more interesting. When the Cavs won game 7, I wanted the Rockets to win the WCF so that at least the Finals series will be more exciting. But with CP3 out, the possibility became less and less. “Houston you have a problem.” Now that the Warriors have it, it did not matter anymore. GSW will go all the way (to me, at least).

But my idols Board Member Rolly, ABC Mike L and Atty. Froi believe in miracles. I actually think the Cavs will need Cardo, Leo Tabayoyong and the Wolverine to even have a chance. But miracles do happen and as other ballers would say, “bilog ang bola.”

Both Western and Eastern Conference Finals series were more exciting than the coming NBA Finals. Both went seven games and both were decided maybe in the last 5 minutes of the 4th. Kudos to the Celtics, Rockets, Cavs and Warriors. I hope miracles will make this “reunion” more exciting.
