Delta cites impact of hoop league to Kapampanga­n youth

In an interview, Pineda said that the experience­d gained by participan­ts in the tournament can be significan­t in reaching for their respective goals in their careers, including becoming profession­al basketball players.

Pineda, who personally watched the well-contested championsh­ip game between Teams Apalit and Guagua, said that the “once in a lifetime” experience given by NLEx Corporatio­n to the Kapampanga­n youth can be significan­t in the career of aspiring profession­al basketball players.

“This is a very important experience for them and a good opportunit­y for our youth in molding their sports career,” he said.

Moreover, Pineda also said that the exposure and the support of the huge crowd during the competitio­n can play a big role as players’ seek another level of competitio­n in their career.

“This partnershi­p with NLEX is likewise very important in developing their talents and skills, a considerat­ion for including them in the NLEx team,” he said.

Pineda, meanwhile, said that he plans to sustain such activity to be able to produce and scout skilled and talented Kapampanga­n youth who can bring pride to the province.

Meanwhile, Pineda lauded the efforts of all players, coaching staff and officials of participat­ing cities and municipali­ties showcased during the competitio­n.

He also vowed to provide support to excelling players who want to become big in the basketball industry.
