Fernandinos enjoy a night of entertainment
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO---Hundreds of Fernandinos enjoyed an evening filled with excitement and entertainment as the City Government of San Fernando held its Pyestang Fernandino Cultural Dance and Singing Competition on May 28.
Staged in front of the City Hall, ten groups showcased their innovative dance skills while seven aspirants showed their singing prowess.
After almost four hours of alternate song and dance performances, the best groups which emerged as winners in the dance contest were Xtrm Limit Dance Crew as champion, MVD Dance Crew as first runner up and Tribung Kapampangan as second runner up.
Meanwhile, Mark Reyes of Apalit was awarded as champion for the singing competition. His co-winners were Stanley Sayco of Barangay Dolores and Jericho Dela Cruz of Barangay San Jose who landed first and second runners up, respectively.
Winners in both categories received P20,000 each for the champions, P10,000 each for the first runners up and P5,000 each for the secondrRunners up.
In an interview, Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago said the city government and the executive committee seek to revive the colorful and lively fiesta tradition that also flaunts the great talents of Fernandinos and Kapampangans.
