LIFE’S TUTELAGE

-

ANALEE D. LUMBANG

Education is not the preparation for life but its part of our life itself. Many of us think that getting into school and earning a degree is the best way to prepare you to life. It is true but life doesn’t start after graduation. What do you call the entire years you spent at school? Only a stage on your life that you study? Only a part of you that needs to wake up early every day then go to school and do your homework’s afterwards? Those drooling years you spent were already part of your life, part of you being a human. On those years, you had become the best part of you being a student. You discovered your strengths and weaknesses. You realize that there are a lot of things you can achieve using your given potentials. You found your hidden talents and pursued your dream occupation. You out-performed yourself and tried to exceed your expected limitations. Your boundaries are broadening and your capacity to be the best you has been established. Strangers that turned into friends, moments that turned into memories and learning’s that turned into meaningful life lessons. Earning a degree will not make you hotter but will make your life different for the rest of it. Education can be compared as an investment, an investment that has the highest interest rate. Getting an education is making windows out of a box, windows that will serve as opportunities for you to grow your branches and bear fruits. Windows that will tell you to think and go out of the box so that you can grow and deepen your roots for you to stand taller and stronger for the thing they call life.
