JOJOKYLE L. CARENCIA
As known, new knowledge emerge every day which are being upload in the world wide web for everyone’s consumption. These new information mostly are new discoveries or updates regarding the existing body of knowledge that we currently have. These are the products of research.
To create, to look or to update knowledge is not an easy task. It requires effort, time, passion, and dedication of a researcher in order to complete and even surpass the possible challenges along the way. They say that research is a work of brilliant people. However, aside from brilliance, one also needs the passion to do so. It is a combination of both intellect and desire to finish a difficult task.
Research is done scientifically for it requires a lot of preparation and patience as one goes on the process of digging deeper into the concepts to find solution for the existing problem of a research paper. The importance of research in education is very vast. It has a wide scope of effect in the lives of educators and also to the people who are close to educators. Mostly, creating knowledge falls on investigatory research. In this type of research, the investigator aims to produce a tangible thing that will be beneficial to a certain group of people or community. It includes exploring another possible usage of a certain thing, which may not be directly related to its primary usage.
The great thing about research is that its result can lead to a positive change in the live experiences of its beneficiaries. The findings may be used for policy analysis and revisions of the existing policies. The proposals for improvements or revisions are evidence-based. This will serve as strong point for the possible approval.
Also, quantitatively speaking, research is used to measure cause and effect relationship. The proposed interventions and innovations are needed to be measured if they provide the promised target or output. The results will determine if the proposal will be continually used or will be rejected. Another thing is that research provides a tangible measurement of performance of personnel in the organization. As known, measurement of performance must be done objectively and must be inclined with the objectives of person being assessed. The results of assessment may also serve as basis for future studies.
Technically, the importance of research in education is too wide to be described, but one thing is certain: RESEARCH EXIST IN EDUCATION SECTOR.
