-

MAGGIE S. TUBAON

Today, one factor that is difficult to deal with, Borne students are becoming squirmy, they are not the stereotype who like those in the past were usually getting tongue-tied when they were being disciplined for their untoward behavior. The passing of different laws aiming to protect the children’s right from different abuses, students being aware of their rights make the nature of the law exploitative. They used the laws as shield even to the point when they are belligerent. Laws are shelter for children who is constantly the victims of injustices but to the extent of using the laws as scapegoats to excuse them from not doing right, they are abusing the very essence of the nature of the laws. In school, the propensity to abuse their rights are difficult to deal with despite teacher’s orientation regarding the limitation of their rights. When they are being confronted of their obstinacy, their impoliteness, and their arrogance they reacted in violent and are meant to demean teachers, that is why some teachers are indignant and they can’t control their emotion. Students are feeling downgrade when they are rebuked and becoming imprudent without thinking of the consequences of their mischievous of their misbehaving. But to impose punishment or to humiliate the students because of their defiance to right demeanor is precisely of the beam for he may be afflicted emotionally and mentally disturbances. Although a lot of teachers said the laws are prejudicial for it’s hard to impose punishment. They feel they are being deprived of their own limitation. But teachers have nothing to do with this situation except to be patient and calm, and should handle the matter with consideration – to guide the students during this period ambiguities. Today handling school discipline is a delicate matter, it need a tremendous tolerance in dealing with the students’behavior and necessarily the school should stand firm and utilize maximum effort to foster sound character among students.
