CSF incorporates vision, mission in basic curriculum
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO---The City Government of San Fernando on Wednesday started introducing its vision and mission statements to education stakeholders all over the city in a bid to incorporate it in schools’ basic education curriculum.
During the private schools teachers’ training and seminar “Updating Activity on Quality Delivery of Basic Social Services (Education Sector)” themed “Fernandino Private School Teacher Ku, Pagmaragul Ku” at the Sure Values School Auditorium, the city government presented the vision and mission statements, along with the city’s core values.
The city’s vision states that the “City of San Fernando, home of the giant lanterns, will be the model city of countryside development by 2025”, while, the mission statement focuses on “developing a livable, ecologically-balanced and economically-viable model city through effective and socially inclusive governance that will enhance the quality of life of Fernandinos”.
Mayor Edwin Santiago said that San Fernando is prioritizing education since it firmly believes that children will contribute to the city’s healthy future.
“I always tell Fernandinos not to worry about the future. I always tell them that we hold the future. The children are our future and if we will properly educate them, they will grow intellectually and morally capable,” he said.
