QUALITY LEARNING OUTPUTS THROUGH INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT

- MARY ANN JOYCE D. LAGOY

Educational outcomes do not purely depend on the facilities available in school, advancement of technologies, and adaption of programs developed by the department to achieve quality teaching and learning. These must be anchored with the curriculum standards, learning objectives, and student assessments aligned with the K to 12 curriculum. These will also ensure that instructional practices applied by teachers elevate academic achievement at all levels.

It is therefore equally important that teachers need to more innovative and creative in their teaching strategies, styles and techniques, dexterous in the acquisition of different programs fitted to the required content and performance standards, and ingenious on how could they use the appropriate forms of assessment testifying that these were met by the students. Teachers may provide additional learning activities and sort of reinforcement to achieve the desired quality learning outcomes.

As the agent of learning, you have to consider the different fundamental elements, activities and resources in managing an effective instruction. Contemplate with the different principles and processes in achieving the curriculum such as learning objectives, performance and content standards, and assessment strategies. Provide handson and other curricular activities that will encourage students to interact with each other and develop their potentials and skills. Provide also necessary support and resources to achieve quality learning.
