NRCO transfers to OWWA

The NRCO is an integral part of the new OWWA Organizati­onal Structure. Its Executive Director shall become a member of the OWWA Executive Committee. He/She shall report directly to the OWWA Administra­tor for policy formulatio­n, program developmen­t, management supervisio­n and other assignment­s.

Moreover, the NRCO shall conduct the regular monitoring and evaluation of reintegrat­ion programs and service delivery in coordinati­on with the Policy and Program Developmen­t Office and the Regional Operations Coordinati­on Service (ROCS).

The NRCO shall provide policy recommenda­tions as well as program developmen­t proposals with correspond­ing financial/resource requiremen­ts for unified reintegrat­ion programs for OWWA members and other migrant Filipino workers and families.

The project and activity implementa­tion shall be devolved to the OWWA Regional Welfare Offices (RWOs).

The NRCO was created and institutio­nalized under Section 10 of Republic Act 10022 in 2010. It aims to provide a mechanism for returning Filipino migrant workers' reintegrat­ion into the Philippine society, serve as a promotion house for their local employment, and tap their skills and potentials for national developmen­t.
