The City of San Fernando police Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted the anti-illegal drugs operation against Lingat and his two cohorts in Barangay Malpitic.

Upon sensing the presence of policemen, the suspects reportedly drew their guns and fired gunshot onto the lawmen who retaliated killing the three on the spot.

Senior Superintendent Nicolas Salvador, Pampanga Police acting provincial director, said the suspect together with his cohorts were on the target list of drug personalities in the province.

Police said Pascual traded shots with police operatives during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bayanihan, Gapan City when he sensed that his buyer is a police officer.
