EDUCATION IN THE MODERN WORLD

Gadgets, computers, laptop and cellphone, everything surrounds with technology. People especially millennial were being hooked by the modern technology and social media. It seems that you are being left behind if you are not engaged in the modern world of technology.

Technology became a tool to improve our everyday life. It really makes our life and work easier and more comfortable. Youth will not be completed without the use of these gadgets. This period became the era of technology.

At this era, technology is not just for recreation and hobbies. It can be also a tool for education. Teachers are already utilizing the use of technology and even social media in teaching their lessons. Teachers were being innovative and creative with their approaches in teaching specifically the usage of technol ogy.

Using projectors, television, power point presentations, and other multimedia tools is the manifestation of the modern technology in teaching. This approach gives more knowledge, ideas and ease to students. It can also catch the student’s interests and attention for learning.

Learning will not be boxed with books and discussions. Learning is already modernized. It will be more effective and enjoyable with the aid of technology. This will be the avenue to cater the interests of the students and incorporate it with their learning process.

Moreover, using of electronic books, educational videos and researches expands the knowledge of the students. There will more updated knowledge through the use of the internet. Even the use of learning portals will be also effective in teaching the students.

Educational videos help the students to be more attentive and interested. The use of audio and video materials will be also effective for students who are visual and auditory learners. Doing their own videos like documentaries and movies is also a good practice to apply their knowledge and skills.

Education is not limited to the four corners of classroom. Interaction with the teachers and classmates during their discussions is just one aspect of learning. Going beyond the modern world of technology is already the new face of learning. It is already a part of a student’s learning process and development.

Technology might be a distraction. It can steal and waste the time of our students. But if we will be innovative and creative, technology will be incorporated to education. Technology already conquers the world. Don’t let technology conquer our students. Students should conquer technology through education.
