Bantay-bayan, 4 others nabbed in drug busts
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - Five suspected drug personalities, including a barangay watchman, were apprehended by police authorities in separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted in Pampanga towns recently.
The buy-bust operation launched by local police in Mexico town led to the arrest of suspect Angelito Santos, 47, allegedly a bantaybayan member of Barangay Parian in the said town, who is listed as a high-value target.
Police were also able to recover two sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) and the P500 marked money used in the oper at i on.
Likewise, operatives of Magalang police successfully arrested another suspected drug peddler identified as Jun Reyes alias “Bagets”, 45. Recovered from the suspect’s possession were three sachets containing shabu and P500 marked money used in the operation.
Also, local authorities of Macabebe arrested one Angelo Rojan Fulgencio in a buy-bust operation conducted in Barangay San Gabriel, which also led to the confiscation of two sachets of suspected shabu and one plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves in the suspect’s possessi on.
Police in Sto. Tomas town also nabbed a 46year old woman identified as Rosale Ibañez a.k.a. “Tekla” who was allegedly involved in the proliferation of illegal drugs in the town. Seized from her possession were three small sachets of suspected shabu and the P500 marked money.
Meanwhile, operatives of Mabalacat City police conducted a buy-bust operation against one Allan Pagaduan, who was tagged as a notorious drug peddler in town, along with his cohort identified as Rommel Limpin alias “Pogi”, 38. However, Pagaduan was able to elude the arresting team and only Limpin was arrested by police.
Although Pagaduan escaped, police were still able to recover from the possession and control of arrested Limpin nine sachets of suspected marijuana and two sachets containing suspected shabu.
