WHY WE NEED TO KEEP LEARNING

-

CARLA E. DABU

Education starts and ends with you, they say. It begins with the fact that you so willingly accept the idea that you will be filled with information and knowledge that are essential to your growth and to the development of your being. Suppose it ends with you, it should not end too soon - because only in the learning and relearning does one individual become more of his best self.

Education has no end - because it is in our nature to have an insatiable thirst for knowledge, a never-satisfied taste for something new. In reality, not a single man should stop educating himself. Humans almost always never stops discovering and rediscovering the world. It is our curiosity that led mankind to walk on the moon, that leads us to the want to explore our neighboring planets. It is our mundane drive that makes us always want to foresee the unknown future. Clearly, when we revisit our history and review our following actions, we will come to see that even our forefathers loved the idea of learning; of teaching each other the walk of another’s life.

You see, this is why we should never stop learning: because there is so much more to life and the world that we already know. We should keep growing and developing towards a better future. We should continue guiding each other through all the challenges that the modern world presents to us. Although we must learn to embrace what we already know, we should always be ready to empty our cups so that we may have a refill. Education starts and ends with you, they say. Don’t let it end.
