Viral: Genius physics master suffered public scrutiny because of appearance

An old man went viral on social media after he was ignored, mocked and mistaken for being homeless.

A ‘triggered’ netizen shared that the barkers told the man that there was no space inside for him to sit yet they continued calling for more passengers to get inside. When he was finally able to ride the jeepney, the other passengers refused to move to give him space.

He humbly asked why they wouldn’t let him sit when he’s a senior citizen. The 65-year old man then handed his fare just on time before he went off the vehicle, but the driver still assumed that he didn’t have any real plans to pay the fare because he doesn’t have any money and the passengers agreed.

The kicker? The man remained humble and didn’t even tell these snotty folks that he was actually a college professor who not only graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines but also earned his Master’s Degree at a university in Germany! Lodi!

Mr. Ruben Madridejos, also popularly known simply as Sir Madri, the Hokage of Physics, is a renowned professor at the Department of Physical Sciences, College of Science at Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP).

We all heard of the saying “don’t judge the book by its cover,” but it’s sad that even in this modern day, we still judge people by their looks. Like, come on guys. Nobody’s a saint and it’s true that the world is undeniably attracted to beautiful packaging, but we’re definitely better than this, right?
