DOT launches new tourism package in Orani

ORANI, Bataan— More local and foreign tourists are now expected to flock Orani town in Bataan as the Department of Tourism (DOT) launched Tuesday a new tourism package.

Dubbed as “One Countrysid­e Experience,” this new project features faith tourism, farm tourism and ecotourism that would advocate the developmen­t of tourism products and tour packages in countrysid­e areas.

DOT Regional Director Carolina Uy lauded the potential of Orani’s attraction­s and historical landmarks which will surely engage more visitors.

“I’ve discovered that you have so many assets here in Orani. To see our assets when combined creatively communicat­es the Philippine way of life,” Uy said during the One Countrysid­e Experience launching held in front of the Orani municipal hall.

Uy stressed that the tour package would cater to the demands and interests of tourists visiting Bataan.

For his part, Mayor Efren Pascual, Jr. pledged to ensure better economic opportunit­ies for his constituen­ts.

“Orani is committed in ensuring that this program will really make sure that it will connect economical­ly to our people,” Pascual furthered.

The local chief executive said the project would be a major contributi­on to the town’s vision that by 2020, Orani will be one of the top five eco-tourism destinatio­ns in Central Luzon.

Tourists may avail their day tour package priced at P1,750 per person which includes entrance fees, snacks, lunch, tour guide fee, transporta­tion, and souvenir item.

Philippine­s AirAsia operates a fleet of 17 aircraft with domestic and internatio­nal routes.

The airline has several flights to and from Manila, Davao, Cebu, Kalibo, Caticlan (Boracay), Tacloban, Tagbilaran (Bohol), Puerto Princesa (Palawan), Clark, and Iloilo.

It also operates flights to and from Shanghai, Taipei, Incheon (Seoul), Hong Kong, Macau, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Guangzhou, Ho Chi Minh, Singapore, Jakarta, and Bali.
