Korean arrested for illegal firearms, drugs

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga— A foreigner was arrested by police authorities for illegal possession of firearms, ammunition and illegal drugs at Clark International Airport, morning of July 10.

At around 12:15 am, personnel of Clark Airport Police Station arrested Hoseop Yoon, a Korean national, who was bound for departure to Incheon, South Korea and when checked, was found out carrying a caliber.22 pistol with five rounds of ammunition for calibre 22 and two sachetsof suspected shabu.

Charges for violation of RA 10591 and RA 9165 have already been filed against Yoon.

Police Regional Office III Director PCSupt. Amador V. Corpus said that “We are very eager in fighting all forms of lawlessness as well as illegal drugs and all police units are working together to eradicate, if not prevent, criminality in the region.”
