TESDA to open more economic opportunit­ies for PWDs in Bataan

More business and employment opportunit­ies will be given to persons with disabiliti­es (PWDs) in Bataan as the Technical Education and Skills Developmen­t Authority (TESDA) leads this year’s 40th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilita­tion (NDPR) Week.

The Provincial Government of Bataan in partnershi­p with the Provincial Council on Disability Affairs (PCDA) will hold the provincial celebratio­n of the 40thNDPR Week on July 17 at Lou-Is Restaurant in Balanga City.

An orientatio­n on economic opportunit­ies will highlight the celebratio­n to be attended by hundreds of PWDs from the 11 municipali­ties and the lone city of the province.

“In order to provide economic opportunit­ies for our PWDs, we will stress skills training and enhancemen­t for them,” TESDA Provincial Director Virginia Bondoc said during the PCDA meeting.

Forum on types of disabiliti­es and concerns regarding the issuance of PWD IDs will also be discussed by Department of Health.

Meanwhile, members of the Samahan ng Taong May Kapansanan sa Bataan will exhibit product display booths to showcase local quality products made by PWDs.

Other activities include solo singing contest and cooking show competitio­n.

This year’s NDPR Week carries the theme “Kakayahan at Kasanayan Para sa Kabuhayan Tungo sa Kaunlaran.” Quest Hotel and Conference Center, Clark (QHCP) has recently launched the first ever QUESTion and Answer event for its media partners.

Also known as Q&A, this program is created for QHCP to discuss with the Pampanga Press Club (PPC) their quarterly promotions. In addition, this will also allow PPC to invite a guest speaker coming from a different industry to talk about the latest trends, topics, and subjects of their respective fields.

Moreover, for the third quarter of 2018, QHCP and Mimosa Golf Course are all set to launch the following promotions:

Another promo to be launched by the hotel is the Rainy Day at Mimosa, which treats guests and golf lovers of discounted green fee rates and free golf cart use. On weekdays, green fee with golf cart rate starts at PHP 3,350 and PHP 3,950 for weekends. This offer is exclusivel­y for walk-in guests.

For August, valued patrons can take advantage of the “Stay-nniversary” promo which allows guests to book at their website and use the promo code “QHCPTWO” to avail the Deluxe Room for a discounted rate of PHP3,888 and with breakfast for only PHP 4,888.

Furthermor­e, QHCP is also set to launch its “Perfect Pair” promo which offers wine and cheese, a classic combo at Q Lounge from August 8 to 15, 7PM to 10PM. This is aside from the Q Lounge’s “Two for the Price of One” where diners can get two Mango Sans Rival for the price of one, starting August 1 to 15.

Meanwhile, Q Lounge and Charley’s will also unveil its “Proud Kapampanga­n” menu to pay tribute to Pampanga, touted as the “Culinary capital of the Philippine­s”. Along with these, the dining outlet is also set to launch its Healthy Bites menu, created to satisfy diners with nondairy, low-carb, and sugar-free meals .

For the month of September, QHCP will then celebrate the Chinese MidAutumn Festival by offering a great array of delicious moon cakes and other traditiona­l and celestial Chinese pastries from September 20 to 27.

During this month, the newly-renovated Cafe Mequeni is also set to provide a more delicious and enticing experience through its live stations, with nine action areas providing diners with freshlycoo­ked dishes
