RONALD P. REYNO
We live in this computer age. Technology has really taken our lives. Our world is a fast-changing place to live in. all these changes do affect the learning process. Educators need to be abreast with new trends and strategies in teaching the 21st century learners. The traditional method of teaching may still be applied but rarely. It is a MUST for educators to attend seminars and trainings in order to cope with the innovations mandated by the Department of Education.
Youth, the students in particular are exposed to technology. In teaching Science nowadays, power point presentations and other use of gadgets are indispensable. Collaborative learning should also be observed among learners. To keep the students participative in their activities, games, puzzles, video clips and other interactive practices are effective strategies in teaching science.
In this manner, the students will not find the subject a passive one. We can no longer escape from using technology-aided instructional materials. This will enhance the participation and engagement of the learners in a science class.
As teachers, we must guide our learners in the application of modern technology.
