THE FOOTWEAR THAT NEVER LAST

-

MARIEL M. NAPO

“I remembered her once saying that life was like your shoes. You couldn’t simply expect or imagine that your shoes would fit perfectly. Shoes that pinched your feet were a fact of life.” This is a quote I once read from the internet by Henning Mankell, Italian Shoes. It motivated me to ponder about life. Finding this to be genuine, I suddenly realized the connection between shoes and our Knowledge.

Our shoes defined who we are. Just like our Hair as our Crowning Glory, so are shoes. People in different field have different shoes. A golfer cannot wear the shoes of a basketball player, He or She may be uncomfortable. The same is true with a doctor and a farmer.

My point in reflecting in this connection is that, Our knowledge is not just a piece of trash. I will be just using a pair of shoes as an example. We must therefore choose to have that knowledge that money could never pay. Like shoes, we must choose critically the thoughts and experiences we wear that we share everyday to others. It is our life legacy… The moment you open your mouth, people will know what kind of knowledge you have. Same is so true about our shoes, we must not just buy shoes for comfort but we must consider that people may look at them and we will judge based what kind of pair we have.

Choose the best pair of shoes that can lead uplift you wherever you go, whoever is with you… ..The choice will always be with you… .Be sure that for every process of making a pair, there is learning… . Just like what that piece of gold is going true before it can be appreciated by many. There are some pairs who are at their best during winter, spring, summer, or fall… .Choose that pair that will never wither even seasons may change.
