CREATIVE SCHOOL: A HOLISTIC SUCCESS

Attaining a progressive school was still considered to be a living dream of every school head. Thus, this vision requires tremendous effort from both internal and external linkages. School is the biggest room for preparing lifelong learners ready to grasp opportunity in the competitive world. One of the major roles of the school head is to anchor the institution in diverse area including academic, technical-vocational, sports, science and research.
The Department of Education carefully scrutinized every program and innovation being inculcated in the paradigm of educational system facilitated in different academe. DepEd-RIII headed by Dr. MalcomnGarma initiated the action of encapsulating the Creative School Framework aligned in the target of attaining Filipino youth developed holistically. The framework has an overview of creativity as the core in achieving the said vision of the department. It envisioned that the school will reach the peak of learners having the competency in (1) skills inclusive of literacy, numeracy, interpersonal and life skills, (2) teachers will be able to gauge the progress of learners through the learning outcomes composing the achievement, test scores and success indicators, (3) it also given emphasis in critical thinking covered in awareness and immersion, (4) a continuous inculcating of the character for the love of God, love of nature, love of self and love of family and (5) building a generation of tinkers and thinkers.
In this modern era, creativity and innovation were given emphasis on how the school can generate authentic and effective concept for both management and teaching instruction. This framework will guide the administrators on the areas to be prioritized. Teamwork can be a great aid in leading every school into a creative and progressive learning institution making it in holistic success dedicated to everyone.
