4 Pampanga towns get new patrol cars

SAN LUIS- To beef up security in the communitie­s, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has awarded brand new Toyota Hi-Lux patrol vehicles to police stations in four towns of Pampanga’s fourth district over the weekend. .

The police stations of San Luis, Minalin, Masantol and Sto. Tomas were granted new service vehicles upon the request of Representa­tive Juan Pablo “Rimpy” Bondoc, who graced the blessing and turnover of the vehicle.

According to Bondoc, he personally requested to former DILG secretary Ismael Sueño the new patrol vehicles for the said towns to aid the anticrimin­ality campaign implemente­d by the Philippine National Police (PNP).

He added that with the new mobility for the police force, their response on incidents will be hastened and the maintenanc­e of peace and order in communitie­s will improve.

“We always give high regard to the safety and security of our people and we are hopeful that this brand new patrol vehicles awarded to our local police will help in performing their duties of serving and protecting the people,” Bondoc sai d.

“Likewise, I also urge our policemen to utilize this additional mobility in stamping out the criminalit­ies perpetuati­ng in the communitie­s, especially in the campaign against illegal drugs which is the top priority of our President Rodrigo Duterte,” added Bondoc.

Senior Superinten­dent Nicolas Salvador, Pampanga Police Provincial Office Acting Director, expressed gratitude to Bondoc for his initiative on the police vehicles.

“We are very fortunate to have public servants who really work for the benefit of their people. The arrival of the service vehicles are very timely in our reinforced campaign against criminalit­ies, and in the continuous informatio­n disseminat­ion of our local police in the grassroots level,” he said.

San Luis Mayor Venancio “Asyong” Macapagal, for his part, thanked the DILG and Bondoc for including their town in the short list of benefi ci ar i es.

“Rest assured that our local police will utilized this new patrol car in performing their duties of protecting Luiseños from any types of criminalit­ies and illegal activities,” he sai d.

Masantol Mayor Danilo Guintu also gratified Bondoc and the DILG for always rememberin­g Masantol, especially in projects related to curbing illegal activities and ensuring the safety of the people.

“The maintenanc­e of peace and order is one of our priority agenda in town and we are grateful that we always receive reinforcem­ent from our other partner-government agencies. For our part, we assure that this gift will result to positive accomplish­ments,” he said.
