The Struggle is Real

Classroom management is one of the things that the teacher must consider in his/ her everyday encounter with the learners. Teachers need to be flexible in dealing with the learners because the learners nowadays are far different from the learners before. Teachers must be knowledgeable to the different strategies applicable to the diverse l ear ner s.

As stated by Kimberly Kobe, you can create a successful classroom management system if you will work on at all grade levels and with all teaching styles. And these are the things that need to be considered according to Kobe:

1.Consider Your Teaching Style and Preferences. Examine your expectations for the students’behavior during class and envision how you want the school day to run from the moment students arrive at the classroom door.

2.Keep it simple. After you have identified the preference for classroom order, next thing do to is to develop a classroom management systems that describes your expectations to the students. Simply by informing the students about the rules that you want your students to follow.

3.Incorporate Positive Reinforcement. Treat all the actions made by the students positively. Even in the most undesirable behavior, teacher must treat this in a positive way. Because sometimes reverse psychology is the best way to make the students follow what you instruct them to do.

4. Make Simple Changes First. Sometimes, the styles that we integrate in our classroom are not applicable to the learners therefore we need to gather ideas to our colleagues about their best practices in disciplining the students.

5.Start Now. In the first day of the school teacher must enumerate the rules that the student need to be follow so that will students become oriented to the rules at the day that they enter the class.

Teaching the subject is somewhat light, what is difficult is managing the class with diverse learners. With that, positive treatment will be the key in dealing the undesirable behavior of the students.
