ACCOUNTING IN EVERYDAY LIFE
As we all know, accounting is very important in the business world. It is defined as the process of gathering, recording, summarizing and analyzing financial transactions or data. It is often overlooked as an integral part of an organization. But in this day and age, accounting is also essential in our day to day lives. Not much of us know that some of our daily tasks are related to accounting.
Everyday, you are trying to budget and manage your expenses. Imagine if your expenses don’t line-up with your salary. That means, you are overspending. That is why your goal is to save. Balancing your income and expenses is already considered accounting. That is exactly what an accountant is doing in an organization. An accountant makes sure that he balances the assets with its expenses/ liabilities. Having a positive balance at the end of the business cycle is the goal.
Planning the future financially is basically an accounting skill as well. Everytime you plan how you can earn money to suffice all your needs is like an accountant who plans for the organization. An accountant should know how can his organization earn enough profit to sustain the company. And there are a lot of ways, starting from investments to cutting down expenditures.
There’s a lot more ways on how we can apply accounting in our daily activities. For that matter, acquiring the necessary accounting skills makes our life easier.
