HAU hosts CEAP Region 3 annual conference
For the second time in a row, the Holy Angel University hosted the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) Region III Annual Regional Assembly. The two-day conference, anchored with the theme "Sanctificatio: from Brokenness to Blessedness" officially commenced through an Opening Eucharistic Celebration presided by Bishop of Balanga, Most Rev. Ruperto Santos, D.D. at the University Chapel.
Opening Ceremonies were held at the 9th Floor, Plenary Hall of PGN Building with Assistant to the President Edna Marizza Santos delivering the welcome address; and then an overview of the conference and presentation of delegates was facilitated by Fr. Ernie Raymundo. This was followed by the keynote address delivered by the Bishop of Kalookan, Most Rev. Pablo Virgilio S. David, D.D. Shortly after this was the treasurer's report, talks on yearround updates on CEAP and upcoming activities by the regional committee chairpersons. In the afternoon was an encounter with the youth facilitated by Dr. Amado Estonilo, Vice President for Academic Affairs of College of the Immaculate Conception, Cabanatuan City. The second day consisted of breakout sessions with different speakers on education, Catholic faith, and community.
The CEAP is the national association of Catholic Educational Institutions in the Philippines founded in 1941. It now has more than 1,484 member-schools and more than 120 superintendents of Catholic Schools. It is a voluntary organization which operates through regional educational associations located in the 17 regions of the country. Region 3 is headed by Rev, Fr. Elmer G. Dizon, Vice President of CEAP National.
Delegates of CEAP 2018 were students and educators from across the region.
