HAU hosts CEAP Region 3 annual conference

For the second time in a row, the Holy Angel University hosted the Catholic Educationa­l Associatio­n of the Philippine­s (CEAP) Region III Annual Regional Assembly. The two-day conference, anchored with the theme "Sanctifica­tio: from Brokenness to Blessednes­s" officially commenced through an Opening Eucharisti­c Celebratio­n presided by Bishop of Balanga, Most Rev. Ruperto Santos, D.D. at the University Chapel.

Opening Ceremonies were held at the 9th Floor, Plenary Hall of PGN Building with Assistant to the President Edna Marizza Santos delivering the welcome address; and then an overview of the conference and presentati­on of delegates was facilitate­d by Fr. Ernie Raymundo. This was followed by the keynote address delivered by the Bishop of Kalookan, Most Rev. Pablo Virgilio S. David, D.D. Shortly after this was the treasurer's report, talks on yearround updates on CEAP and upcoming activities by the regional committee chairperso­ns. In the afternoon was an encounter with the youth facilitate­d by Dr. Amado Estonilo, Vice President for Academic Affairs of College of the Immaculate Conception, Cabanatuan City. The second day consisted of breakout sessions with different speakers on education, Catholic faith, and community.

The CEAP is the national associatio­n of Catholic Educationa­l Institutio­ns in the Philippine­s founded in 1941. It now has more than 1,484 member-schools and more than 120 superinten­dents of Catholic Schools. It is a voluntary organizati­on which operates through regional educationa­l associatio­ns located in the 17 regions of the country. Region 3 is headed by Rev, Fr. Elmer G. Dizon, Vice President of CEAP National.

Delegates of CEAP 2018 were students and educators from across the region.

The Angeles University Foundation (AUF) College of Nursing was recently commended by the Sanggunian­g Panlungsod of Angeles City after an impressive performanc­e at the June 2018 Nurse Licensure Exams, where AUF obtained 100 percent passing rate and three topnotcher­s (top 6, 7 and 10). The awarding was held at the Session Hall of the Legislativ­e Building of the Angeles City Hall.---Contribute­d
