RFC in Malaysia is one of the Top 10 motor sports competition in the world, according to Consunji.

“It’s a combination of driving off-road, engineering, driving, vehicle recovery and jungle survival. This is the toughest of the toughest,” he said.

RFC Malaysia, which is only a four-hour flight from the Philippines, is one of the most accessible international motor sports for the Filipinos, Consunji said.

However, Philippine teams are not consistent in attending the international race, he sai d.

“And yet we are not always there. We should be always there. We should send more, we should learn more. It’s a platform on the international scene,” Consunji said.

RFC Philippines Event Chairman Rene Romero said that 44 teams are expected to join the Philippine competition which will be held inside the Freeport and the towns of Floridablanca and Arayat in Pampanga provi n ce.

“We are happy that the event will be held again in Pampanga for the second time considering that there are several beautiful places in the country,” Romero added.

According to him, some of the tough races will be held at the Cong Dadong Dam in Arayat town and Palakol River in Floridablanca.

Other executives who assisted Consunji and Romero during the press conference include RFC Philippines Liason Officer Marni Castro, RFC Race Director Dennis Javier, and Jaybee Anatacio of Maxxis Tires Philippines.
